Round 6 GAME 1 of the 2025-26 Daido Life SV.LEAGUE was held on Saturday, November 29 at Panasonic Arena (Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture), where OSAKA BLUTEON (hereinafter referred to as Bluteon) faced the Hiroshima Thunders.

The match began at the opponent's pace, falling behind 3-6, but Lopez sparked a counterattack with a kill, followed by a service ace to score consecutive points and tie the game at 7-7.
After being caught by the opponent's block twice in a row to trail 10-13, the team immediately responded with three consecutive points to find their rhythm.
Kai's serve then helped generate consecutive points, leading into the final stretch at 20-18.
However, the team faltered again, giving up three straight points to fall behind 20-21. From there, they displayed high concentration, particularly on defense, to successfully turn the game around at 23-22. In a seesaw battle where every point counted, Lopez finally secured a block-out to take the set 25-23.

Although the opponent took an early lead, tenacious blocking and defense led to consecutive points, allowing the team to tie the score early on. Following a fine play by Tomita, Nishida finished the sequence, allowing the team to rack up points in an ideal fashion.
The back-and-forth battle continued until the middle of the set, but after Tomita's serve led to a defensive stop and a successful attack, the team took a 3-point lead at 19-16, further extending it with a block by Evade-Dan.
In the final stretch, the team kept the opponent guessing by utilizing quick attacks from Evade-Dan and Nishikawa at key moments, ultimately deciding the match and taking the set 25-20.

From the beginning, the team scored rhythmically with tenacious defense and accurate attacks.
Furthermore, with Tomita scoring on difficult tosses and the support of the venue's atmosphere, the team played with the momentum on Bluteon's side.
In the middle of the set, Lopez's consecutive blocks gave the team a 13-10 lead, and they went on to score consecutive points starting from Nishida's serve.
Bluteon continued to toy with the opponent using Brizard's tosses and spikes to take a 19-15 lead, unleashing attacks with a diverse combination of plays.
In the final stages, Yamamoto inspired the team with his exceptional defensive movement, and Nishida closed out the match with two consecutive service aces, taking the set 25-20.
The team secured a straight-set victory with a set count of 3-0.
OSAKA BLUTEON now has 10 wins and 1 loss, with a total of 29 points.

Comments from Head Coach Samuel after the match
The Hiroshima Thunders were well-prepared with countermeasures, which forced us into a tough battle.
I felt their defensive strategy against our offense was particularly excellent in the early stages of the game.
Amidst that, I think our players stayed focused and fought with patience.
Especially toward the end of the first set, we didn't rush to win, and we were able to create transition opportunities from our strength, which is our defense, which was very good.
Also, we were able to effectively keep the efficiency rates of Arai and Robinson down.
It was great to win today, but tomorrow's match is even more important, so we will play to show even better volleyball than today.

We started today by being stifled by the opponent's high block, but as we made small improvements, our combination with Brizard and our blocking and defense started to look like our own style of volleyball, which I think led to the victory.
We have another match tomorrow, and while I expect it to be an even tougher game, we want to play our brand of volleyball and go for the win.
